Dr. Brian Rubenstein
Dr. Brian Rubenstein received his Bachelors Degree from The George Washington University in 1986. He received his post graduate degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990. After receiving his post graduate degree, he continued his training at the Nassau County Medical Center where he focused on cosmetic, implant and advanced reconstructive dentistry. He is a past president of the Long Island Dental Study Club and is still currently a member. He actively participates in many continuing education courses and is a member of the Nassau County Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Rubenstein was born and raised on Long Island. He and his wife Marilyn have three children, Alec, Courtney and Emily. In his spare time, Dr. Rubenstein is an accomplished pianist and enjoys jamming with his band. He is an avid golfer and enjoys exercise and all outdoor activities.
Dr. Ken Rubenstein
Dr. Ken Rubenstein was born and grew up in Brooklyn and received his B.A. in Biology from Brooklyn College in 1959. He received his DDS degree from New York University in 1963 after which he served for two years as a Captain in the Army Dental Corp, stationed in Germany. After practicing in Brooklyn for four years, he moved his family to Long Island in 1969, where he has been practicing ever since. The practice has been located in its current location since 1977. Dr. Ken served as an attending instructor in prosthetic dentistry for twenty years at Nassau County Medical Center, where he taught reconstructive and implant dentistry to first and second year residents. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Association and is a current member of the Long Island Dental Study Club, and was a former president of the Mid-Island Dental Club. He attends post-graduate courses on a regular basis where he keeps abreast of the latest techniques and the newest materials. Dr Rubenstein and his wife Ellice have three children, Mark, Brian, and Melissa as well as eight grandchildren. He lives in Commack and when not in the office, he probably can be found on the golf course.
Dr. Harvey Goldwasser
Dr. Goldwasser has enjoyed practicing with Drs. Brian and Ken Rubenstein for many years. He graduated from the Columbia School of Dental & Oral Surgery in 1983. A year later, he gained his degree in Periodontics from the New York University School of Dentistry. Dr. Goldwasser was a clinical instructor in Periodontics at Columbia University School of Dentistry and Oral Surgery from 1992 to 1996. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Osseointegration and the Long Island Society of Periodontics. In his free time, he enjoys photography, hiking, and running. Diane Scalici, RDH Diane Scalici is a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale. She has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over twenty years. Diane has worked for Rubenstein Dental Group for over 14 years.
Dr. Christina Currie
Dr. Christina Currie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from SUNY Binghamton in 2003. She then received her DDS degree from New York University in 2009. She pursued her passion for cosmetic dentistry by providing additional patient care at NYU’s Rosenthal Center for Esthetics as well presenting at both Esthetic Grand Rounds and Research Day. She held position of clinic representative and received recognition as student of the month numerous times throughout her years spent at NYU. She participated in NYU’s program for the underserved and traveled to Nicaragua to provide dental care and treatment for those most in need. After receiving her post graduate degree, she continued her training at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she gained further knowledge providing interdisciplinary treatment for a broad spectrum of patients including those medically compromised in a hospital setting. She is a member of both the Nassau County Dental Society and American Dental Association and actively participates in many continuing education courses. Dr. Currie is currently working toward obtaining her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Currie was born and raised on Long Island. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying fit at the gym, and cooking her Italian favorites.
Diane Scalici, RDH
Diane Scalici is a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale. She has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over twenty years. Diane has worked for Rubenstein Dental Group for over 14 years.
Rachelle Segarra
Rachelle Segarra is a graduate from Suny Farmingdale and has been in the dental field for over 25 years. In addition to practicing dental hygiene, she also teaches continuing education courses. Rachelle is also licensed in dental anesthesia. She is a warm, compassionate, highly skilled hygienist and will go out of her way to make you comfortable.
